Procurement Coordinator

Job Overview:
This position will be responsible for providing direct procurement support for the business, communicating and supporting tenders, supplier management and advising/supporting all Departments on procurement related aspects of business and procurement processes.

Key Tasks: 
  • Liaise and negotiate with small/ medium suppliers
  • Develop and maintain a supplier  contract database
  • Provide procurement support to Purchase to Pay system (Coupa), act as principle user of Coupa, with responsibility for routine tasks, reporting and analysis
  • Provide procurement advice to stakeholders
  • Support stakeholders in compliance to company guidelines and to purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts.
  • Support the procurement team in undertaking due diligence of suppliers and ensure that new suppliers are recorded and registered on business systems.
  • Assist the team in data collection on supplier performance and non-conformance
  • Work together with the team to gather relevant data, analyse, draw conclusions and make recommendations regarding procurement activities, projects customer communication, etc.
  • Co-ordinate meetings including; minute taking, distribute to relevant stakeholders and follow-up and closure of agreed actions
  • Support all Telehouse departments in the procurement process and provide guidance on best practices
  • Support procurement function in harmonising process and procedures
  • Provide support to the European Procurement Director to drive value (standardisation of procurement processes etc.) and general admin support (reporting, co-ordination)

Essential Requirements:
  • Able to read and write business communications
  • Relevant business/commercial degree preferred, GCSEs Level A-C, NVQ Level 2,
  • Previous experience of working in a procurement team and understanding of the full procurement cycle
  • Good knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Analytical, numerically astute, with strong problem solving abilities
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets
  • Commercial and financial awareness, with a full understanding of how failure  to adhere to procedures impacts the business
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
